ING Accounts
Has anyone done this for DC? Is this worth it for the higher interest rate?
What kind of accounts did you set up for your child?

We have a few saviings account with ING. It helped us save for our downpayment, christmas, etc. The interest rates are great!
For our kids we set up 529 college savings plans. When they get older we will open regular bank savings accounts for them to learn about spending and saving, but for now all of their money from gifts, etc, goes into college savings becasue Harvard and Notre Dame are pretty expensive! ( I can dream!

For our savings we have a CD and we invest in DH's mutual fund, which has a really good return  (so proud of him).
For Alex, we set up a 529 account.
