Injectable IUI cycle
When do you add Ganirelix in the injectable IUI cycle? Should it be started when lead follicle is a certain size or does it depend on bloodwork?

Re: Injectable IUI cycle
Not all IUI cycles use Ganirelix. It's more commonly used in IVF cycles, usually beginning about 4-5 days in to stimming.
On my 3rd IUI, I used Ganirelix just the last night to give one follie an extra day to catch up while ensuring the lead one didn't release early. That was after stimming for about 9 days, I think.

Re: Injectable IUI cycle
I used it on an IUI cycle. I believe they monitored me through the bloodwork. When the follicle gets to a really good size they want to sort of "slow it down" so you don't ovulate until you do the HCG shot. They should also be giving you sonograms so that they can measure the follicle closely....so basically you do the Ganirelex shot a few days before you are going to do the HCG shot.
