Injection class
So, I had an injection class this morning.....HOLY INFORMATION BATMAN!! I didn't realize how complex this was going to be. I opened up the box of meds I got in the mail and DH just about freaked out.
I know I can get through this. I still have no idea what medicines I'm supposed to take and for how long. I do know that I am going for progesterone level check on Oct. 3 and will probably start Lupron that night.

Re: Injection class
I know how you feel! I had a massive headache after the injection class! It's a lot to take in, I know, but trust me, you'll get through it. The nurses will help you out the entire time and keep you on track, so don't worry!

Re: Injection class
It is a lot to take in. I was like HOLY CRAP When I saw all the medications. Are you doing IVF?? If you have a great nurse, like I did, she gave me a calendar and marked a caledar for me and color cordinated it with all the meds I was taking and when. She also gave me an estimated retrievel and transfer day. She is good because she was only off by a day. Lots of luck, dont be afraid to ask LOTS of questions, and you have us

Re: Injection class
Its scary and overwhelming!! I still remember my class (so long ago!!). I was so nervous I don't think I retained anything!!!
I was drenched in sweat and shaking the first few times I was mixing the meds (before the pen, you had to mix a whole bunch of vials, big PITA).
Now, I can talk on the phone in front of my computer while mixing and injecting!! LOL!!!
Good luck!

Re: Injection class
We are not doing IVF...we are doing IUI. However...I think some of the medications are the same...according to the nurse, the only thing I don't do are the progesterone shots after the IUI, but up til that point, it's relatively the same. She also said...it's good practice in case I have to go towards IVF, I will be a pro.
