OMG my stomach is killing me. The first time around with ivf I was completely "fine". No bruising, aching or bloating. This time I'm in so much pain, both stomach and uterus. Anything I can do other than a heating pad? I was thinking Advil but I can't even think about taking something else with all of these shots and how many vitamins I'm taking! I'm hoping my retrieval is sooner than later!

the first time for me was much worse, gave me GI symptoms, the last round better, try icing the site first. Are you using the smallest needle? the 27 gauge

Icing the spot before the injection helped me a lot.

This is my first round of IVF--my stomach is black and blue. I am on day 5 of stims. I can't wait for this to be over!

I'm pretty sure, if I remember correctly, you shouldn't be taking Advil during stimming. Regular Tylenol is ok, but not extra strength.

Ok will try ice tonight. Thanks ladies. And I'll ask about Tylenol but I would be taking it every 4 hours bc I'm just in constant pain so I'll just suck it up

I was told by my RE RN you can take anything for pain until ER, but perhaps each office is different, ask you RE office
I will say if you're in constant pain call the RE. Being tender and sore is one thing, but PAIN the way you are saying its a bit much.
I hope you feel better soon.

The pain is bc they started me on such a high dose this time vs last and he said age! (Bleh). I'm 34. I also have one follicle that is growing so much faster than the others so he said that could be it as well. Today was crazy. I got up and felt nothing. Swore I ovulated but all is good. Anywho looks like 1 or 2 more days of this and hopefully it will all be over (the shots that is). I decided not to take anything for the sake of my body being overloaded already.
