insurance question: can you still be on COBRA after you've gotten a new job?
My current job is ending and the insurance I have here is AWESOME. The only out of pocket expense I had with my first IVF cycle was $200 (including all meds and procedures). Now I have to go for another cycle in July. My job is ending in July but I'm entitled to COBRA. Which I will definitely be signing up for just for the IVF and meds coverage.
But say I get a job offer today and leave. Does that make me ineligible for COBRA? I want COBRA but also a new job! My potential new job has an opt out feature for medical coverage. Can't I just opt out of it until their next enrollment period (December) and have COBRA until then? Or does COBRA automatically stop once I get a job offer with medical coverage?
Anyone know the rules?

I have no clue, I would ask someone in your HR dept. to make sure, when your specific plan is no longer active. I remember Cobra being really expensive to keep too.
Good Luck, hope everything works out !
