Interesting Article

This article came up on my FB newsfeed today and I found it very interesting.. Just this morning my aunt texted me with the name of a woman in Smithtown that deals with the emotional healing process of infertility. I was on the fence about calling her, and this article persuaded me to give it a try.

I think infertility and treatments are so draining. I thought I was just a single parent by choice kind of patient. But In reality my age has me dealing with old eggs and low odds.

The emotional toll is overwhelming. I think anything any one chooses to help along the way is great. We each need relief and support through this.

Very interesting article. Yes, I definitely think you should talk to someone. I was always on the fence about going to a therapist when we were struggling and I really wished I did. I am grateful now that I have children. But IF hell took a toll on my marriage and on me, as a person. I became very withdrawn and didn't want to talk to anyone. I even started isolating myself from DH. There were days I would just cry (all day, didn't even get out of bed).

Looking back, I am upset that I didn't seek help. I really needed coping skills (which I thought I had but apparently didn't) and I am mad at myself that I feel like I lost several years of my marriage because I just wasn't myself. I couldn't find joy in anything.

Please let us know how she is. IF is emotional hell that breaks your heart every month. It steals your hopes and dreams sometimes. If it helps I'm all for it.
