Interior Painting: DIY or pay someone
How much do you pay someone to paint a bedroom?
Or, do you DIY and how long does it take out of your time?
In the past I've only paid someone, trying to see if it's feasible to do on my own.

It's actually pretty easy, if you're just doing one room I would DIY it...

I agree. One room is definitely DIY-able. An entire house is way too much. I hired someone to do our new addition, but that was over 1500 s/f of addition, with several interior walls, plus ceilings, so it would have taken me weeks or longer to do all of that. Individual rooms can be done over a weekend (there's drying time involved, so you can't just buzz through all the coats in one day)

they'll charge you more to paint just one room as opposed to a per room cost for several rooms.
painting one room is definitely doable yourself and can be done in a day depending on the size of the room and how many coats you need.

I painted my entire house. a Bedroom with 2 coats will take half a day maybe.

I'm doing it myself with the help of family and friends. It really is so easy. I just can't justify spending the extra money on paying someone kwim? I'm totally renovating the entire house, so I need to save some money.
