did anyone get a quote recently for painting the interior of their home?
DH's parents are going to have this done for us as a housewarming gift  but they want to shop around to make sure they are getting a good price.
we are painting every room - dining room, kitchen, 2 living rooms, 3 bedrooms, and 1.5 baths.
any experiences are appreciated!!

Mine is literally being done as we speak! We're paying $1500 for 2 bedrooms, the den and just the molding/doors in our LR (we did the walls ourselves before we quit  ).

watch the pennysaver there are a few people advertising majorly low prices (one is in there for $65 a room)

just be careful who you call. When we first moved into our house we hired a painter from the pennysaver and he was terrible. We fired him after 4 long days of him still painting the same spot. I should have known something was off after I came home from work on the first day only to find him having a conversation with my cat.

I'm on that thread - LOVE Precision Painting Plus. Seriously - they were great. We were paranoid too about using a company we never heard of - we checked their license through the Office of Consumer Affairs in Nassau County and everything... They had one complaint - I forget what for - but Michael was just really great - they really seem to care about customer service. After the job was done we had them come back to touch up around our high hats (our electrician screwed them up) and they did no problem - free of charge - even though it wasn't their mistake. You'd think I was getting a kick back or something from them the way I rave. I don't.  See my album - they did the stripes, we have a lot of angles in our house, it wasn't an easy paint job.... I highly, highly recommend them.

I think we paid $2,000 for the entry way, living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, bathroom and downstairs hallway.
