Internal at 36 weeks...

I am getting it tomorrow. Does it hurt a lot? I am nervous.

i have two dc. i didnt find the internals hurt at all. they are really quick. also i love your avatar. im in love with Uno.

They usually are not. With that said, mine was but it was because my pelvis was tight....the fact that the doctor was worried about this plus the fact that the baby was breach caused the doctor to set me up for a c-section.

They aren't pleasant - but they are quick. I would look at the ceiling - focus on a spot - count to ten - and it would be over!

I agree, it was pretty much the same "pressure" as when you have a pap done. uncomfy but thats all

ETA: I agree with Diana, I would focus on the ceiling and just let a few deep breaths out and that was it.

It was like alonger version of a pap. Not as bad as I expected.

I have had a few recently, and only one was really uncomfy, they are pretty quick, the one that hurt the most was done by a female OB, the ones that my OB (male) has done haven't really been bad at all. Good luck Chat Icon
