Interview help!
I know this has been asked a bunch of times..
I have an interview in two weeks. I haven't been on an interview in a while and I feel that I don't interview well. I have a hard time really getting my thoughts across because of nerves...
What should I study up on? It is for a special ed position. I don't have much special ed experience. What can i do/say to make myself stand out? What should I review?
Please help! I need this job!!! I have to get out of Catholic School!

Re: Interview help!
I am a special education teacher on LI. My district is bringing a lot of children with autism back to district and servicing them in our building. I would suggest reading up on autism and strategies to work with children with autism. Another big push is co-teaching and collaborative/inclusion models. If I were you, ask the district what the position will be. The questions that you get will depend on whether the position is for resource room, self-contained or inclusion. Once you know what it is, you can study up on what you will most likely encounter in that position/model. Feel free to FM if you have any other questions.
