Interview questions pre-school
What questions might I want to ask on a pre-school position interview? I was thinking, are beneifts available? Are family plans available? Do I work year long, day care in the summer? Do my benefits last year long? What else? Thanks everyone.

Re: Interview questions pre-school
They want to hear more about educational based questions than salary and benefits... if you want to ask those, i would save those for the end...
I would ask: -what professional developement opportunities are available? -how many aides will i have? (you will most likely have at least one if not more... what is their training? what is my responsibility in terms of them (i.e. do you have to supervise them, train them, etc.) -what is the centers philosophy (i.e. how do they run their center? what is expected of the children? are most activities free choice/play or more teacher directed? -who do i go to if i can't handle a situation with a child? -do i have the opportunity to create my own program with my ideas and activities or do i follow a specific program? -what other staff is there to support me (i.e. social worker, psychologist, therapists (speech, OT, etc.)
GOOD LUCK!
ETA: i responded as if you're interviewing for a teacher's position, not an assistant or aide, so i hope these apply.
