Re: Introduce Yourself (again)...

Hi Everyone

I'm 28 and my DH is 29 TTC for about 10 months now.

Diagnosed: Endometriosis
I have tried 4 cycles of Clomid one with an IUI. Endo is coming back and if I wanted to continue with Clomid and IUI's I run the risk of having another surgery to remove the Endo.

Current Protocol: IVF consultation scheduled for next week.

Current Feelings: Scared not of procedure but of the steps I took so far that failed what if this doesn't work out... I have a hard time talking to friends/family about it. DH is very supportive and he makes me feel much better.

I'm hoping to know all of you and share my journey as well as listening to yours. Wishing all of us the best in health, love and happiness.

Unexplained IF. Nothing found to be wrong with either of us.

Starting with new RE for Sept, to do natural IUI, then on to injectables then g-d forbid if needed, IVF.

Already did, 5 IUI's with clomid.

Diagnosed with PCOS in April after going off the Pill. DH has not been tested for anything yet (probably in Sept with our new insurance). Was supposed to start trying in Fall but due to our new road blocks we have been trying since April. Temping, CBEFM, and on Metformin for PCOS. Successfully ovulated 1x since started Metformin in July but miraculously did on my own in June too!

Also concerns re: my liver or gallbladder now too… If nothing happens by end of Oct will talk options re: Clomid.

Me: Judy 36
DH: 32

Diagnosed: Hypothyroid (Hashimotos disease); PCOS (elevated DHEAS); Fibroids(not located in uterine Cavity); Questionable Hydrosalphinx (was told that if any, they are tiny)

Shortly after we were married, we were pregnant but later was told that it was ectopic (non-tubal); I had a DNC and a Laparoscopy to rid of pregnancy but pathology report was negative. Chat Icon I cannot help but wonder if surgery was even needed.Chat Icon Everytime my new doctors read my history they are always questioning it.

Protocol: IVF to optimize a successful pregnancy. Still trying to figure out funding. DH and I are moving to NJ in the near future.

ME (Colleen): 26
DH (Rob): 30

I was diagnosed with the MTHFR gene after my third m/c. My homosysteine levels were not elevated at the time which means it's not an active gene.

I got pregnant twice on my own but both were chemicals. And the third time was through IUI also ended in m/c.

I am on my 6th consecutive clomid/IUI cycle and will find out tom what my next step is going to be. I think it's onto IVF.

Me: 35, 36 in Oct.
DH: 38

TTC: since March of 05

Diagnosed in September of 05 with PCOS.
First RE: Took 4 rounds of Clomid at super high and long dose to get me to ovulate. Later found out that PCOS patients are poor responders to Clomid. My previous RE also had me on an outdated drug protocol from the 70's!! Two failed IUI's.

Second RE: April 06. Confirmed PCOS diagnosis.
First IUI was on Metformin only, ovulated on my own. Has early symptoms but got AF on 14 DPO.

Second IUI- failed

I made some major dietary changes, started herbal tea, took a hot bath every night and went for regular massages.

IVF- June to July 06- I'm a teacher so I had to move on and take advantage of the summer.
Did 5 days of bedrest instead of the prescribed 2 with my feet elevated the entire time. Ate a 1/4 of a fresh pineapple a day (including the core).

I am Jen (29) and my DH is Tom (34) ...

We
started trying in August 2004, yep, 2 whole years ago. Tried naturally for 1 year, had no luck. At that point, both my DH and I saw fertility specialists. I came out fine, but my DH had a blockage in his tubes. He had surgery on 6/26 to remove it and now we are trying again. We put it off for a while bc I switched jobs but now we decided we do not want to wait any longer. Chat Icon Chat Icon
