Introducing Baby Lucy
Hello Everyone,
Sorry, it took so long to post but I am now starting to feel better!
I went in for my scheduled c-section on January 12th at StonyBrook. It all went by so quickly. The girl next to me was yelling at her mother "Get the F out of my face." Dh and I just looked at each other feelinig guilty b/c I was in no pain. I was even able to blow out my hair that morning. The perks of having a scheduled c-section (of course, I had no choice.) I walked into the delivery room and it was freeeezing!! They kept asking if I was nervous because I was shaking. Uh, no...I am cold. The spinal was horrible. They couldn't get it right. It wasn't the pain...it was the awkward position for about 10 minutes.
The c-section lasted about 2 1/2 hours only because they had to clean up old scar tissue from previous surgeries. But, Baby Lucy was out within the hour of the Procedure! She is my miracle baby! She is sooo beautiful! She looks like her daddy! Words cannot describe what it felt like when I first heard her first cry, when I first laid my eyes on her and when I first held her in my arms. We feel so blessed! I cannot believe I am finally a mom!
As for post-partum, I am exhausted but enjoying every minute of it. For those who had previous myomectomies and are nervous about c-section, the recuperation is "cake" compared to my myomectomy. My mom and dad are here helping me out, and even with my mom's help, there is not enough time in the day! Ladies get your sleep now! I am trying to get a rhythm going. I haven't been able to return any phone calls!
Here is Baby Lucy Gabrielle 6 lbs. 5 oz. 19 inches long. She has LOTS of Hair! Which explains my Heart Burn!
