Introducing… Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt
New reports from Vietnam are coming in that Angelina Jolie has renamed her 3-year-old adopted son from Pham Quang Sang to PAX THIEN JOLIE (soon to be PAX THIEN JOLIE-PITT).
In Latin, “PAX” means “peace.”
In Vietnamese, “THIEN” means “kind and good” or “helpful” or “heaven” or “quieting” or “bright.”
But it has been confirmed that Angelina has completed procedures with Vietnamese authorities to adopt. Just one more hoop to jump through: U.S. consular and embassy officials must give approval.
In short… Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will soon have four children: 5-year-old son Maddox adopted from Cambodia, 3-year-old son Pax adopted from Vietnam, 2-year-old daughter Zahara adopted from Ethiopia and 10-month old daughter Shiloh, who was born to the couple in May 2006.

She does concentrate on her kids. She is very hands on.

I'm sorry but I don't agree w/this.
She is ALWAYS seen w/her children (all of them) and honestly, she's not working on any films and devotes her life to her children.
What makes her any different from people who have children one right after the other?
She obviously has the time, money, and resources to provide love and a new life for children so why not?
At least she's not sucking the government dry by popping out kids she can't afford!

I am not saying that she is not a good mom but I think she should be spending quality time with the three kids that she has already. She is constantly looking for another child. When she adopted Zahara she got pregnant with Shiloh and now Shiloh is not even a year old and she is adopting again. I agree she is not on welfare but not sure what that has to do with spending quality time with your kids.
Just my honest opinion.

Just my honest opinion.
I don't understand why having four children (whether adopted or natural) is such "a big deal" or that she/Brad won't be able to handle it? I just feel there's PLENTY of love to go around. My father was one of 13 children, my mom one of 6....and they were raised in Third-World Countries..
There are mothers out there that can handle 10 kids at a time, and mothers that can handle 1 child. She obviously has the time b/c she's not working regular 9-5 job - what else is she doing?
ETS: Please do not feel that I'm targeting you (Smiles) directly. Just sharing opinions and explanations for them.

I understand and I am doing the same just sharing my feelings.
I am a SAHM to 1 child right now and I know what i do all day long. Now times that by four and I would be stretched very thin. I would not be able to play with all four at once because I would be making meals for them, changing 4x the amount of diapers etc. It is do-able but you are stretched very thin and for me that is not the best. Like I said just wish she would spend a little more time with the 3 she has before she goes looking for another child to adopt.
P.S - I love how we talk about these celebs like we actually know them. She could have 5 nannies inside her house for all we know.

I seriously dont understand why they are giving angelina so much grief over this. She is constantly with her children and is photographed holding each one of them, so there is no favortism. She has the money and resources to adopt a child and take him/her out of a poverty stricken nation. I just figured she adopted a boy so maddox has a brother to grow up with and the girls have each other.
I'm not her biggest fan, but I admire her compassion for these children. Mia Farrow has 10 adopted children along with 4 of her own. No one has ever questioned her intentions.

So true. I know so many people in LI that have 4-5 kids. I don't know how they do it. You are talking about muti, multi millionaires and she doesn't work.

What's amazing is that YOU know that right now one child is keeping you on your feet. I commend you for knowing what you can or cannot do.

I am one of 7 (one of my brothers is adopted also), It's fabulous to grow up in a family like that, there was never lack of love, and my parents did it with a heck of a lot less money!

Okay, this is the last thing I will say.
My issue has nothing to do with the number of children or the money because money has nothing to do with love and spending quailty time. My only issue is the speed at which she is doing it.
Your parents had 7 kids but they did not have 3 of them in a year and a half.
That is all I was saying. I wish she would take her time and enjoy the three she has already before trying to find another child to adopt. I think what she is doing is great I just wish she would slow down a little.

Is it neccessary to change his first name? Wouldn't that be confusing for a 3 year old?

I read in an interview once ( pre-Brad), that she doidnt want to have her own babies, b/c it would be once less child she could adopt.
I don't know if Shiloh wa splanned or not, but maybe she adopted Pax so soon after, b/c if she hadn't had Shiloh, she would have probably adopted a 3rd around this time.
She has also said she wants to adopt "as many as she can handle."

I truly admire both of them and love Brad even more for being such a family man....
For all we know they could have adopted white babies with blue eyes & blond hair (just like their cutie), instead they are giving love to all those children that need it the most....and are usually last in the adoption process...
You can truly see their real devotion and love for children of all colors & races.... I really hope they adopt more!!!

He is soooo cute - how do you look at all those little boys and choose him though? They all are so cute and they all need homes.... He is one lucky little boy - I know that few people would want to adopt a child that old already....
I think what she is doing is great - she and Brad combined have a LOT of money, and could provide for a village if they wanted to - they have enough to hire staff and help take care of them....
How many moms have one kid, and dont even pay attention to him/her?

I think what her and Brad are doing is wonderful although there are many orphans here in the United States so why dosen't she adopt someone from the country who gave her the opportunity to be so successful and rich.
It just annoys me and she does as well.
