Invited to a Christmas party at a friends house...
my co-worker and friend is having her annual Christmas party. they have it at their house but it's a "dress up" party. it's catered by a high end restaurant and they have hired servers.
do you think that bringing them a bottle of champagne is a nice enough hostess gift? also, I would like to hear some alternative ideas.

Sounds good to me.. I would just try and make sure its a kind they love... that way a bit more personal.
Not sure what else can you really give.. Im sure they arent expecting anything.

What about sending a nice centerpiece to the house for the table the day before or that morning? I have done this a few times and it went over perfect.
If not, a nice bottle of wine is always a winner.

My mom usually bring a nice basket with a bottle of wine & somekind of cocktail napkins imprinted with their names or initials. The napkins seem to be a huge hit.
