Ipad - Lifetime limit???
Has anyone heard about their being a LIFETIME limit on how many IPads you can purchase?
My dad went into an Apple store the other day to get one for my mom for mother's day... and then decided to get one for himself too. The person working there asked if he was SURE he wanted to buy the second one because then he'd be at his lifetime maximum. HUHHHH?
Is that true??

I spoke to my apple contact  :
Right now that is correct, you can thank people that are exporting them out of the country illegally and you can only pay for it with a credit card thats how they track it.
But if they go in with more than one person each person can buy two
but the need to be done on different cards.

yep its true...apparently because they pushed the international release the ipad back people are stocking up on them to sell them overseas so to stop it apple placed a limit on the amount you can purchase. They call it a lifetime limit, but chances are it wont be enforced once the international release takes place.
