iphone 5 calendar help

i just decided to add my work email account to my iphone.
but it seems to have also added my work calendar along with all of its reminders. i do not want the calendar on my phone

i go to the calendar list and turn off the one listed as my work one but it seems to keep turning itself back on - help!

Go into Settings --> Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Then choose the Account you want to remove the calendar for.

Turn off the Calendar. It will ask if you want to delete it, so choose yet.
