iPhone calendar issue
dh and i both have iPhones.
if he makes an appointment or makes a reservation in his calendar he can click edit then invite and send the reservation to me.
i can accept it as being free or busy and it goes in my calendar.
however if i try to do that on my phone it doesn't give me an option to send him an invite for a reservation or appointment at all.
he didn't download anything different - just his phone has an invite option when he clicks edit on his appointment on the calendar.
is there a setting I'm not seeing?

Re: iPhone calendar issue
Hmmm..did you try opening up the specific event (event details) and clicking "edit"?
This is what i see on my phone menu when I click Event Details: Starts Ends Repeat INVITEES Alert Calendar Availability
When i click Invitees, I see:
"Add invitees".

Re: iPhone calendar issue
i've been googling it and not finding any definite answers but it sounds like it may have something to do with icloud.
to the OP: is your DH on icloud and you are not? i'm not using it so i'm not sure how it works.

I'm pretty sure it's an iCloud/sync thing.

Re: iPhone calendar issue
My e-mail is through google. For anything I need to make sure is on DH's calendar, I put it on my calendar. I set up "share this calendar" on google, and it sent him an e-mail (not sure what it said, sorry, this was a few years ago). He followed the instructions on that, and that calendar now updates automatically updates the calendar app on both our phones. I set my google calendar as the default calendar on my phone, so when I add anything into it I know without having to even do anything that it will hit DH's calendar too. Even pop-up reminders that I set on my phone will be a pop up reminder on his phone.

Re: iPhone calendar issue
we do ours through google calendar and set it up on the iphone. we share our calendars with each others. if I put an event on a calendar it is automatically on his and vice versa.

Re: iPhone calendar issue
If you are both linked to the iCloud the second either one of you enters something on the calendar it should be listed on all the calendars. There can be multiple calendars (ex. Home/Work) and you have to have your calendar set to which one or all you want to view. It has nothing to do with the invitees.

Re: iPhone calendar issue
just a quick update for anyone who is having this issue as well went to the apple store and my calendar was set at my gmail account when it had to be set to iCloud.
under settings click the mail, contacts calendars and go down to calendars. under default calendar it should have your email address and under iCloud the calendar should be checked off. easy fix!
dh and i don't share iCloud (contacts appointments etc) we have 2 separate iCloud accounts and somehow when mine was set up it was defaulted to my gmail account
