Irregular Times of the Month?
Right now Im on BC (and have been over 10 yrs).... when I wasnt on BC, I had irregular times of the month.... my body always seemed to be out of wack- AF came whenever she felt like it.
Now that I will be getting off of BC soon I am worried this is going to be a major issue. How are you ladies dealing with this? Is there something I can take to help regulate myself after coming off BC? TIA

Re: Irregular Times of the Month?
What do you mean by all out of wack? What were your cycles like prior to BC? How old were you when you started BC? And how long have you been on it? I know 100 questions lol.

lol!!! All of out of wack like I would get it one month, maybe not another or it would be reeeeeeeeeally late things like that. I couldnt even really figure out a pattern and at that age I really didnt care... but I knew it was odd b/c other girls my age were getting it around the same time every month. - I would say 14, 15 early 16's.
I was on BC since I was 16 so its been a long time because I am now 28. Yes, I know the clock is tickingggg my mother keeps reminding me of this lol

Re: Irregular Times of the Month?
The reason I asked all those questions, was to get a better idea of your situation. As for your cycles before BC I think a lot of that had to due w/ age. I know my cycles were not regular until I was about 18 or 19. For some girls they are, but for the most they are not. I know in hs I wouldn't get Af sometimes, b/c I was exercising a lot w/ playing soccer and running track. Unless you were diagnosed otherwise I really think it was just the age.
When you go off BC your cycles will be all over the place for a few months most likely. Some ladies are lucky and starting getting AF right away and ovulating. I know for myself I was on BC for about four years. When I came off it took me about six cycles to become regular. I even had a 68 day cycle within the first year. Now having been off BD for about three years I am still a little irregular. I range from a 28day cycle to 38 day. I will have a few cycles that are 28, 30, 35, 38, 32, 30, 28, 32 etc..
And your clock is not a ticking that fast so don't let her stress you too much. Hope I could help a bit.

Awwwwwwww I really appreciate you writing that because it really made me feel better
Thats crazy you say that about the sports you were playing b/c I played soccer, softball and was in kickline too! Hmmmm so maybe thats also the reason it was throwing me off.
Do you know if there is a website that can help me keep track of my cycles when I get off of BC?

Re: Irregular Times of the Month?
I agree that part of the irregular issue when you were 16 may have been your age and how much exercise you were getting. I would not worry too much about getting off BC right now - definitely track at least your CM so you have an idea of when your O date is imminent - that's when you want to make sure to BD so that you increase your chances of conceiving.

Re: Irregular Times of the Month?
Yes... Your body can definitely be all out of "wack".. I've been off BCP since last month and I havent seen AF yet! I've been on BC for over 4 years and before that I was on them for 3 years. I'm in no rush but if AF arrives I know how to chart properly..

Re: Irregular Times of the Month?
I use the fertility friend website. I just use it to track all my information & kind of ignore when it says O & AF will occur.

Re: Irregular Times of the Month?
your body can just be out of whack at any point and for a number of reasons...could be the exercise but some people with this problem have PCOS. I think tracking it would be good. I used Fertility Friend.

So its pretty good for charting, but ignore their predictions of O & AF?
Is there another website that gives more accurate information about when you O or AF?
