IRS approved our First Time Homebuyer Credit
i haven't been on much lately, but i was overjoyed today when we found out we were approved for the First Time Homebuyers Credit!!
it felt like we had to jump through hoops to get it, but it was finally approved and we are getting an extra $85 in interest for the hold up
even though we knew we qualified we were still nervous and the wait was making us so anxious...we provided the IRS with more than enough info to prove that we didn't own a previous home but to know we are approved is a huge relief!
i am SO house shopping this weekend

That's great news!! Congrats!!!
I thought it was for people who were in contract before April 30th but need to close by 9/2010.

I bought my house in 2009 a year ago - it took them this long to approve the credit for us
