Is 9 wks too late to still increase my BM supply?

Before DS had to have his pyloric stenosis surgery, he was vomiting everything up, he was also feeding less. I tried to keep pumping as usual even if he wasn't feeding but I wasn't so good about that.....now that he's home and healthy, he's eating like a freakin champ....he's literally ALWAYS hungry. Dr. says it's very common with this procedure. Bottom line is, my BM supply cannot keep up. He's hungry way more often than my boobs have anything to give. I'm still putting him on there to stimulate in hopes of more milk coming in, but it's been 2 weeks and nothing more is happening on my end. I've had to supplement with lots of formula. I'm ok with this but would like to not have to do it.

I'm drinking tons of water, mother's milk tea, eating oatmeal....but I'm thinking my body is just making what its making and that's that....so i'm wondering if 9 wks pp is too late to increase my supply? Is this the case?

Nope..... you are not too late!!!!

I've heeart GREAT things about "more milk" supplements. You can get them at whole foods and I think online....


You have to keep putting the baby to the breast EVERY TIME he is hungry....Nurse hima nd if he is still hungry top him off with a bottle. But giving him a bottle and pumping/ or not putting him to th ebreast EVERY TIME is hurting your supply.

I know its a lot of work... I excluzively pumped the first 8 weeks and now I pump and am putting ALexa to the breast 2X moer work.....

NOT AT ALL!
Have you tried fenugreek?
The trick is to nurse nurse nurse.
Also my OB told me that if you pump while nursing that can increase your supply by 25%. Good luck,
