Is anybody in there 3rd trimester having trouble sleeping?
I am soooo uncomfortable...my back hurts and he feels like he is going to fall out any second  I am up ALL night long. At 2am this morning I seriously considered doing a load of laundry because I couldnt sleep This is going to be a LONG 2 weeks....

I haven't been sleeping well for a few weeks now, probably why I'm sick today. It stinks. I put about 5 pillows behind me and try to sleep sitting up - it kinda works.

Some nights it's near impossible. It's one of the hardest things to deasl with.

Yes! I sleep sitting up with 4 pillows behind me and two under my feet! It's awful- sometimes I try sleeping on my side but I can only stay like that for a little while before my hip starts hurting.
Plus, the soles of my feet are so itchy! I'm using gold bond anti itch cream but it doesn't work well- so between my stomach issues and my itchy feet, sleeping is miserable!

YES! me - I spend all night switching positions and I am in so much pain its hard to switch from one position to another. When I get up to use the bathroom it feels like I can't walk and the baby is going to fall out. I can't believe I still have 6 weeks left!!

the nurse told me that right b/f you give birth your sleep cycles naturally change to be on the same course as your new baby... waking every few hours- it's very normal.

I wake up every 2 hrs due to comfort and having to go to the bathroom. At least I will be prepared for the baby.

i think it would be better if i didnt have to get up to go to the bathroom every 2 hours. by the time i get comfy all over again it is at least a half hour. it totally stinks.

Yes Yes Yes! I'm most comfortable sleeping on my side, but then my hip will start to hurt and rolling over is such a chore. So I wake up, have to pee, try and find a position, finally dose off 20 minutes later to wake up about an hour later to roll over and then the cycle starts all over again. Two more months of this...UGH!

Me! I toss and turn all night. Then get up to use the bathroom. My legs are killing me at night. I have the "Maternity Pillow" which helps then I prop my feet up on a seperate pillow.
I don't know how dh gets any sleep with me in bed next to him. Im so comfy napping on the couch in the afternoon, but, the middle of the night is a whole different story.

Me! I have to get up to go to the bathroom and then it takes me at least an hour to fall back to sleep. Lately my sciatic nerve has been KILLING me and I can't find a comfortable postion or a place to put the pilliows so my butt doesn't hurt.

I am on the verge of sleeping in the guest room. I toss and turn all night. DH complains I take up too much of the bed. I want to sleep solo, but DH said 5 weeks is too long to be sleeping in different rooms.

I haven't had a good night sleep since the 3rd trimester started. I went for a massage last night and I was finally all relaxed- until about 10 pm when I was lying on my side reading and I couldn't breathe for some reason.
I really thought I was going to jump out of my skin last night I was so scared and frustrated. I don't know how I am doing 7 more weeks of this.

It's been getting a little worse for me too. My hips are always hurting from laying on my side. I tried sitting up a bit, but that ony lasts so long too!

If I get an hour of sleep a night its alot between insomnia, peeing , my son getting up and the dogs. I wish for just one good night

It's TOTALLY NORMAL! And I will even go so far as to tell you this:
YOU SLEEP SO MUCH BETTER WITH A NEWBORN BABY! To me, I'd much rather wake up and feed a baby than wake up because my body is aching and I have to pee a thousand times! It'll all be over soon and your first night's rest in the hospital will be oddly wonderful!

Thanks SOOO MUCH FOR SAYING THIS! If one more person says, its to get you used to having a newborn, I am going to bop them one! With a newborn, I won't be getting in the shower, getting ready for a job where I have to form coherent thoughts!

Last night I spent the night watching DH sleep I tried sleeping sitting up and it did not help...my hips and ribs are soooo sore after lying down. I dont mind the not sleeping...its the feeling uncomfortable that is the problem!!!

This is one of the things I've been very grateful for. This has not been a problem for me at all. I've been sleeping very good....all night....I don't even get up in the middle of the night to pee like many do...unless I drink water right before I go to sleep...and since I noticed it, I don't do it anymore....
