Is anyone concerned about what may happen in DC today?
One of Qanon's theories is that today, Trump will retake the office of the President of the US. There was a plot uncovered of a white supremacy group attack that caused the House to refrain from session.
Does anyone think that their will be violence today?
I don't - I think once Trump failed to prevent Biden from taking office; the whole QAnon started to lose stem. I would not be surprised with some rogue acts of violence or domestic terrorism.

I'm reading several views, stories, and insights on it, and it sounds like it is losing steam, and it's mostly on-line communication now, and nobody is going to physically be bothered to go to D.C.
Security and the FBI are still on alert, but hopefully nothing will happen.

Everyone seems to be on high alert which is good. I am sure this will go nowhere at this point in time. It'll be another day that comes and goes.

Slightly, although security is appropriately heightened and the House isn't in session.
Also, I don't think there is evidence of any significant volume of people heading there. But I'm not in the area and could certainly be wrong.

But groups like Proud Boys and Boogaloo have leadership and a establishment to plan and carry out threats. That is what concerns me. These groups aren't going away. They are not full of dumb people and they are angry.

But we all know that won't happen and today will be yet another disappointment for these conspiracy theorists. Of course you can never predict what will happen but I think today will likely pass without incident.

Security is high outside the U.S. Capitol, with National Guard troops and Capitol Police officers on alert inside a massive black fence that surrounds the Capitol grounds and several neighboring buildings.

Yes and there is additional security for today.
Supposedly Pelosi is calling for the national guard to continue offering their services for the next several months. I hope they’re at least giving them a decent place to stay while not on duty.
