Is anyone else the first of their friends to get pregnant?
DH has one friend who had a baby last year. They live in Ohio though so we never see them. Other than that, none of our friends have kids. Many of our mutual friends are married, but most of my friends are still single.
Just curious if anyone else doesn't have any pregnant friends or friends with children. Do you think your relationship will change with them once you have kids?

Nope, I am the 3rd.
I am sure the relationships with the friends that do not have children will be different, but we will adjust. we have been friends a LONG time.

I'm def. not the first, but I do think relationships with some single friends change after marriage & babies. We have some friends that it didn't, but others it def. did

We are just the opposite.....We are the only one's that weren't married and didn't have kids for years.
I don't think our relationship really changed, but they have to be prepared to do things with you and your family now. You can't always get or even want to get a sitter, so going out with the little one in tow should be expected. We really could have cared less if the kids went along, and it really has prepared us for what is to come now.
But not everyone is the same, I guess......

I live in CT and many of my friends live in NY. Some also live in other parts of the Northeast. We don't see each other all the time, but it will be even harder to get together once  is born. I'm sure the relationship will change, but hopefully, they'll be understanding.

Not the first but most of my friends that have babies are far away as well. I only have one friend here that has a baby and he will be two when  arrives.
Maybe our LO's can be buddies!

im the first of my friends although i contribute that to the fact that im only 22 and none of my friends are married yet. i know our relationships will change because they are all going out while im gonna be home taking care of a baby, which i dont mind so much because i was never really the going out type.

We're the first out of my friends, and one of the last out of his friends....he has a ton of friends that we are now friends as couples that had children very young, and all of my friends that we are friends with now as couples dont' have kids yet, and I'm the first...make sense

I was the first, but my relationship with them didn't change. I had my DD 3 years ago, and the next in our group to have a baby just had her first in May. But I was the first to get married also, and 3 of my friends still aren't married yet, so that probably has alot to do with it.

i am the third... one of our friends has an almost-2-year-old, and one of my friends has a one-year-old.
and i am pretty sure it will be a while before another one of our friends has another 
ETA: our relationship with those friends hasn't changed as far as i can see. who knows what will happen once arrives!

We were the first to get married and will be the first to have a baby. My friends have always been important to me and I always made it one of my priorities to spend time with them.
I do not see that changing after the baby comes. Everyone is soo excited about this baby!

Yup, we are the 1st among our friends AND on both sides of our family to get pregnant. Most of are friends are just getting married now...Even so, I don't think our relationship with them will change at all. Everyone has been so excited for us. I can't wait for them all to start trying though!

I am the first of my really close girlfriends to get pregnant...and I have to say its been a challenge so far just not telling them!! I have only told one since I'm only 6 weeks and didn't want to say anything till about 12...so I have been fake drinking(which gets very interesting btw) and avoiding activities... I def don't see my relationships changing because we have alway made time for each other no matter what the situation...but I do see missing out on some fun nights in my very near future ...but its all worth it for the little peanut...I have definitely had my fill of wild nights ...but I think like with every relationship, as long as you take care of it and nourish it...it will be ok

Yes and No. Most of my friends have kids, but most of the live out of state. The group of freinds we see the most are DH's childhood friends. We were the first to get married and now the first to have a baby. However all of them are either married or engaged.
We were worried because some of them are, lets say immature
Most of them have been great! And 1 is actually pregnant now. The one we were most worried about we see the most, he holds the baby, plays with him, asks about him etc. So we have been lucky. The only one I can say has shown no interest is the one who did the same when we got engaged (I think its a jealousy thing)
Our lives are different, we dont do certain things as much anymore like go to dinner at 9pm (DS goes to bed then) go out for drinks, etc. But we try to keep involved and do as much as we can and we invite them over to BBG or have a drink etc.

me and my bestfriends are all recently married. i am the first to be pregnant.
we all thought we would be on the same schedule. like TTC 2 years from now but my pregnancy is a bit of a surprise
dh's bestfriends wives are both pregnant!! one jsut had her baby and the other is due in oct.
very exciting!!
