Is anyone else totally annoyed by Miley Cyrus?
I don't get the appeal-- she looks like this annoying, self-loving obnoxious kid. I can't stand how she carries herself...

I am less annoyed with Miley herself than I am by the total obsession with her. I do not get the appeal either. It just goes to show you: celebrities are "products" that, if marketed correctly, make tons of money for the celebrity and their handlers.

May very well be the most annoying thing in the world to me. I cannot stand ANYTHING about her. Her voice and even the way her mouth/face moves when she talks makes me want to punch her in the face.
Yeah, maybe a little harsh

Thats what I was gong to say as well.. at least she has a good relationship with her parents and family.. and her parents are a big on not making her a media freak show like some other teenage celebritys, My 4yo DD loves ehr and knows all the words to her songs....

I dunno, I don't love her or hate her.
But I WILL tel you......she seems like a pretty grounded, as-normal-as-you-can-get type of kid, given her circumstances.
Talent is subjective, so I really have no problem with her as far as being an entertainer.
And she's also someone I wouldn't mind my kids "idolizing", I definitely prefer her over pretty much anybody else in the biz.

OMG, can I *PLEASE* get a swing in too, while you're at it???????? I cannot stand her, and will do EVERYTHING in my power to discourage my daughter from liking her....EWWWWWWWW! HATE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ETA: I don't think she's that talented either...her voice is HORRIBLE in live performance (which I think is a true test of "raw" talent)...it is quite obvious that her voice is VERY heavily "produced" in the studio.

I can not stand her either! I agree, she talks weird- she sounds like she has marbles in her mouth and her voice is really deep and annoying. She is so full of herself and thinks she's 30 years old.

She doesnt annoy me at all. Shes 15, she is adorable and I think she is very talented. I took my niece to see her twice and I thought she was really good. I think her show is very cute. I hope she doesnt turn into another Britney or one of those other train wrecks.
