those Rockaway apts are GORGEOUS (at least in picture) but too far away from everything for me....Westchester is closer to where I live now than Rockaway is 
Park Slope girls we should have a mini gtg. I need more friends here
I think they are going to be too far south for me also- I used to live in LB and I loved it- but it took 20 minutes just to get to the highway
I think I would rather spend my money on a house in westchester and get to work in 40 minutes- rather the a hour and 40 minutes (until they build the new subway station- but who has time to wait for that)

I really want to move there- but I am concerned about the job market
my brothers wife can't seem to find a decent job and with Jake in comission only sales- me having a decent job is very important
so it's on hold for now- my Dad is so upset

We recently bought a co-op on the cusp of brooklyn heights/downtown brooklyn. We got a great deal and our maintenance is not that bad. It includes taxes, electric, heat/AC, hot water, plus salaries for building workers. We also get a great discounted cable package from Time Warner.
I love where we live and would be miserable moving back into the suburbs (where i grew up!). We looked for about 8 months before we finally made an offer on a place. It was a rough time!

i love park slope. we are having a baby in april and i can't wait for my baby to be a park slope kid. they always look like they are having so much fun!

We are so close!! Union & 5th. DH and I feel the same way, we can't wait to have a baby...though the irony is, once our kid starts getting big, we'll have to move out of the neighborhood!

my cousin bought here, its new construction and they did get tax abatements, they really love the neighborhood.
