Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
I am not usually one to be insecure or worried about my weight or how I look. But this pregnancy I feel I look like crappola. When I was pregnant with DS I feel that I carried well...everyone always said I had a glow about me and the only place I gained weight was in my belly. I carried all in the stomach. This pregnancy so far isn't going the same.
My face has gotten fat (or as some tell me to make me feel better, "not fat, just fuller" You can play connect the dots on my face it broke out so bad. I feel like I have gotten wider in my hip and butt area and I definetely have enough junk in the trunk as it is With DS I carried low...people used to joke that I carried him so low he looked like he was going to fall out This pregnancy I already have a pretty big baby belly and seem to be carrying high.
I know I shouldnt complain. I just was really happy and thought I looked great when I was pregnant with DS. This pregnancy I am not feeling the same way about myself. I am dreading having to buy new summer maternity clothes

i do...
but i have always been heavy and this is only adding to my already poor body image issues. however, that said, i haven't gained too much weight (only about 8 pounds) in 24 weeks. i am not one of those women that are happy about how i look. you sure as hell won't see me posting belly pics on this site!

i dont like the additional weight ive gained in the chin... other than that the weights mostly in the baby belly(althought it was a large gain) and stretch marks dont matter to me since i dont wear bikini's

The additional weight inmy face, my thighs, the constant tired look and everyone commenting on wow look how big you got and are you tired questions really irk me. I know i look like crap i just dont need a constant reminder from everyone else!

It is ok and NORMAL to complain. Its not easy being Pregnant and you have every right to feel uncomfortable about the changes, it doesn't make you uungrateful.
Iw a sin the midst of a weight loss when I found out I was PG. Im having a hard time even looking in the mirror as the early bloat is starting.
I know the bloat will pass and I will feel better but it still stinks

My biggest complaint is my hair. It's curlier than usual and looks like crap.

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
Yesterday I felt like a monster. My clothes didn't fit well, my face and chest were broken out, etc.
My mom went out yesterday and bought me $200 worth of maternity clothes after I called her upset.
Today I got up early, put on make up, dressed myself in clothes that FIT and feel 10 times better!

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
I feel like I have "pregnant head" (as Jenny McCarthy called it in her book) which is probably one of the things that bothers me most. Not that I was tiny before getting pregnant, but I feel like my chin(s) are much more noticeable I do feel fatter in general but I keep trying to remind myself it's for a good reason. I really vacillate between feeling like I look pretty darn alright and pretty darn gross. Luckily my husband always tells me I look great - even if I don't believe him

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
it really depends on what I am wearing. seriously. If I feel like I have on cute maternity clothes that accentuate my belly, I feel good about myself. I am overweight to begin with and most of the time I am upset about how much MORE weight I'll have to lose when I give birth but at the same time, I am trying to enjoy how I look even though it is so so hard to deal with the weight gain.

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
I am carrying like you did with your first - (This is my first, and MOST people I know carry differently w/ their second)
Other than my belly, I don't look any different at all .........My face is the same, not any fuller, my legs and hips and *** are the same ........I can still wear my pre pregnancy jeans at 36 weeks (w/ the bella band, of course)
But I still don't feel GOOD about the way I look. I am not at ALL one of those women who looks at myself w/ this huge, growing belly and just LOVES what I see in the mirror - I actually AVOID cameras and mirrors !! -
At 35 weeks my feet and legs started to swell so I had to give up my shoes At 36 weeks my hands are swelling so I had to give up my E-ring (fortunately I can wear my wedding band - for now at least) .......
Let's wait and see what the next 4 weeks bring !!!
Don't be so hard on yourself. - I made a few trips to Sephora throughout my pregnancy to splurge on some new makeup - get a fab haircut, do something for yourself that will make you feel 'better' .........

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
I know how you feel. I feel so chubby. I'm not in maternity clothes yet but my regular clothes don't look right. Getting dressed in the morning is like the worst part of the day for me. I gained weight before I got pregnant so I don't even look pregnant, just extra chubby. This morning I couldn't even get my weddings rings on. It is just for a few more months, but it is sooooo tough!
Maybe try a little pampering...get a manicure, buy a new lip gloss or buy yourself a new top. Maybe that will lift your spirits a little?
You're not alone!

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
It truly does depend on what I am wearing. If I am in my maternity shirts that accent my belly, I love it bc I actually look pregnant. Within the last 2 weeks I have popped though & there is no mistaken. But i still don't have a lot of "weekend" pregnancy items & that is when I get upset. Since Day 1, I have embraced my growing belly but I do have moments.
I am carrying though all in my belly & boobs, so I am glad for that.

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
I am wearing my weight everywhere this pregnancy and I am not happy about that at all. I'm sure my veracious appetite had a lot to do with it but still. First pregnancy I was all belly and gained only half of what I did this time around.

Re: Is anyone not feeling good about how they look this pregnancy?
I am not that far into my pregnancy yet (14 weeks tomorrow), but so far, I am happy with how it's going looks-wise. I thought for sure the second I peed on that stick I would blow up like a balloon. So far, everything on me has stayed exactly the same and I just have a very round belly. I am hoping and prayng that it continues like this!
