Is anyone stil ordering gifts from Amazon?
I have to order some gifts for DD and DS and they said if i order now it will arrive by the 24th. Should i trust this or just go to Toys R US to buy the toys?

My Dh ordered me 2 things from Amazon. He didn't pay extra for it to ship faster and he got them 4 days after he ordered them!
I ordered from 2 different stores the same day my husband ordered through Amazon and mine didn't even ship until after my DH received his

Amazon has been terrific in their shipping. Their estimates have been far off, I've gotten all my packages well before they stated they would arrive.

nope--not a guarantee--usually great but caution---
I just had an order rescheduled.. I had two day shipping and UPS rescheduled delivery so I had to buy a whole new present for my office secret santa..grrrr

Nothing is ever a guarantee but from Amazon, I found it to be the most reliable. I order a lot from them. I usually get it all before the day of.

ITA! They come FAST, even with the free super saver shipping. I've done like 50% of my Christmas shopping with them this year. I ordered DD books on Monday night, they arrived yesterday (2 days later!)
We do need to place another order with them tonight, and I'm trying to debate whether to "risk it" and use the free super shipping (although the "deadline" was yesterday to order for Christmas delivery), or suck it up and pay for shipping to make SURE it's here in time. I may risk it, and if it's not here-- the recipient will get a picture of the gift in a box and will get the gift when it comes in...anything to save a few bucks!
