Is Costco worth it?
What do you buy there? Is it cheaper? Better price? Thinking about getting a membership but wanting to know what to use it for?

Re: Is Costco worth it?
I think it's worth it, especially for non perishable items. If you have the room in your house to store everything, why not?
Usual items I get are Paper plates Plastic silverware Paper towels Ziploc bags Tin foil Dishwasher tablets Dawn Contact lens solution
I know BJ's does a 60 day trial membership, not sure if Costco does.

costco is nice that they have their own brands and some of the stuff is GREAT better than normal brands- i love the sheets my mom got me from there, my sister used to get their dog food, ETC ETC
we have a sams membership and use it more now that we are busier and basically makes more sense for us to stock up.
sams has a deal online (groupon maybe?) that you basically get a cheap memebership but also get a lot of goods back so it's almost like its free

I buy everything at Costco. I wouldn't be able to survive without my Costco membership lol. Only problem is we end up buying so many more things than what we need when we go. Regular stuff we buy is: Paper towels Toilet paper Tissues Trash bags OTC meds Diapers/pull-ups Laundry detergent Napkins Snacks Fruit/veggies Eggs Towels/sheets Dishwasher soap Ziploc bags K-cups Frozen stuff

I think it's great! The Kirkland brand items are all good, and if you don't like a product (of any brand) you can return it for a full refund. No questions asked. If you get the Costco Visa, the membership rewards we earn more than pay for our membership fee.

Re: Is Costco worth it?
I got a bjs membership thru groupon. I only use it for water and cold cuts for dh and random things here and there. Mainly for water. It's was $50 but they have me a $25 gc. It's fair. I also go to Costco runs with my friend and their meats are ridiculously expensive.

I like BJ's better. Costco doesn't have as many brands or items that we use. They have good non food items though.

Haha same! We even get a significant portion of our clothing there. Socks, underwear, undershirts, sweats, towels, etc.
The towels are the best ever.

In the winter, they have these soft fleece blankets. I bought several. They are the best! So comfy.
ETA. The cases of water are a great price too

Where do you usually buy your meats? I'm a bargain hunter and I actually find them very reasonably priced.

fairway. I buy filet mignon whole tenderloin piece ( 5-6 lb piece) when its on sale for 6.99 or 7.99/lb and i have them cut it for me in 1 1/4 inch pieces. (already pre-cut is 9.99 lb at fairway). costco has the same meat for $18/lb! fairway 35-40$, costco 100$!!
I only buy what is on sale at fairway and stock up for the week.

Is Costco worth it?
I do the majority of my shopping at Costco. I mostly love how their fruits and veggies are such great quality and usually a lot cheaper than at regular grocery stores.

Re: Is Costco worth it?
I have a BJs membership but in general I like warehouse shopping. It's great for laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, TP, paper towels, coffee, snacks- stuff we go through quickly. Stores where I live are quite spread out so it's good to be fully stocked on necessities.

Re: Is Costco worth it?
Love Costco. We go weekly. I really like their Kirkland brand and they have added more organic options recently. Some of our staples...
paper towels toilet paper baby wipes dish soap laundry detergent bottled water tin foil and plastic wrap eggs
We also get some meat and produce there. I also get Carters PJs there for DD for a good price, and even better when they go on sale. They have good gifts around the holidays, too.
We have the Executive Membership so we get a percentage of all purchases back. The check we get at the end of the year covers our membership costs. I also use them for rental cars (cheapest prices around) and got an incentive when I leased my new car. I got a good deal on the car plus a $700 Coscto gift card just for using their auto buying program.
ETA: Their return policy is great too.

100000% worth it Besides the food and non-perishables, we've gone through their auto program twice and saved a nice amount of money both times.
