Is Facebook killing LIF?
I've been coming around less and less because I've been busy during the day, and whenever I do post, I'm always surprised at how much less traffic LIF has. NFR used to have so many pages of new posts each day.
Have you noticed? I thought it was just spring fever taking over and people being outside or doing other things and posting less. But someone said they think Facebook may have taken over as the daytime addiction of choice over LIF. What do you think?
Do you spend more time on Facebook than LIF now?

I've also noticed less posts on LIF lately (last month or so?)
I know for myself FB and LIF are two completely different entities. I only know one person on LIF in real life, whereas i know everyone on my FB in real life.
I come on LIF for local info and recommendations, interesting conversation, to talk about common interests etc. (ok, and to lurk at the drama sometimes  ).
I spend about 10 min at a time on FB, whereas i can easily spend an hour on LIF..
I don't usually play games and such on FB, only really talk to my friends or see their pics and updates..
so, for me one has nothing to do with the other

Same here. I'm just crazy busy at work (getting ready for my second of three trials this year) and with my horses (finally competing again after a 6 year hiatus from showing).

I'm rarely on FB. Everyone I know is playing Mafia Wars, or one of the other games. I have no interest in any of them. Many of my "friends" on FB are just former HS classmates. The people that I am still in contact with, I usually stay in touch outside of FB anyway.

I've noticed the decrease in LIF traffic too. I don't know if it is about FB (I personally never go on FB during the day).
It's just so slow now. I was wondering if maybe it was all the different boards-everything is so compartmentalized. Or, maybe by getting rid of the drama llamas you get rid of some heavy posters.

Ditto! I like LIF more to read up on stuff etc. I feel like I am missing something with FB, too.

FB- I go on 1 or 2x a day just to check and update status sometimes, don't really spend much time on it(even though it's always open).
LIF- I have days when DD sleeps more and there is not too much to do around the house so I spend more time on here. nice weather doesn't really make a difference to me bc I don't really come here when DD is awake.
But I also belong to a a foreign public forum so I try to split my free time between that one and LIF
And yes I have noticed that there is not as much action here lately.

Yes! I used to post on here all the time but once I got into FB, I hardly ever came around anymore. Getting back into it now though

I'm on here , But before i do i do my exercises, check my e-mail, Facebook, Than i come on here and chat with my friends through fm, Also i'll answer some post or make new threads if i need a prayer & hugs or need to vent, Or need advice.

A huge thing for me is that facebook I can talk to people while I am on but on here I have to wait minutes or hrs for a friend to respond. If LIF had live conversation that would be awesome!

I have been spending a lot of time on FB, but that is b/c I am new to it and am still catching up with a lot of friends from hs and college that I haven't talked to in years
