Is going to Disney World during Spring Break suicidal?
Will I be regretting the trip? Is it going to be insanely expensive? We are thinking of going during spring break 2014 and I am actually dreading it! 
Anyone actually gone during spring break and DIDN'T have a mental breakdown during and after?

I am not a Disney expert by any means but I try to avoid crowds like the plague so I would never go during any school breaks or the summer. I was just there last week in fact and I thought it was crowded  . For Disney, it was "light" but for me it was more than I expected.

YES!!! lol. BTDT and would never do it again. AND....we went when my dd was young and in a stroller. It was a nightmare trying to get through the park (mostly Magic Kingdom).

All I know is that I went to Disney 2 weeks ago, the last week of Sept. It was supposed to be low-moderate crowds and it was really busy, much busier than what I would like. I would never attempt to do spring break or winter break.
I plan to do odd long weekends that all schools seem to have like teacher conference days.

I went two years ago for Easter break with my whole family (15 people) and honestly didn't think it was that bad. Definitely crowded, but if you've been before and know what you are doing it's manageable.
I probably wouldn't attempt it as a first timer. You NEED to get to the parks first thing in the am too, so if that's not your vacation style...
If we could have gone at a different time of year, we would have, no question. But that was the only option for us.

we went during spring break last year. It was crowded, but we had the guest assistance pass for my son, so it wasnt bad for us. Although with the new changes, I dont see us going back anytime soon

DH is a CRAZY DISNEY NERD, and even he won't go during spring break. Any other time - for sure. Spring break? No way!
If you need to go during a break, go during Feb break.

We went once during Feb break and once during Easter break. I really didn't think it was bad either time. I think if you go, you have to be a planner - get to certain rides early, get fast passes, make your dining reservations, etc. There were certain times of day or rides that were very crowded but we rarely waited long for anything.

My parents want to do a family vacation with all four kids and DS. My mom is a teacher and wants to do Disney and I said unless she's going to take time off during the year I'm not going when kids are out of school. It's too crowded for me.
