Re: Is it bad to change Dr.'s
I changed due to moving at 14 weeks.
I think if you want to change, do it. the sooner the better, rather get it done now if you feel its the right thing to do.

Re: Is it bad to change Dr.'s
I switched at 20 weeks and it wasn't a big deal at all. They transfer the records over (even gave me a copy).

Re: Is it bad to change Dr.'s
I changed around the same time and am VERY HAPPY that I did. I was also worried that it was too late but there have been no problems. Just make sure you get all of your records!

You have to do what's best for you. Go with your gut and you will be fine.

Re: Is it bad to change Dr.'s
If you are unhappy and have another doctor you would like to try I say switch. You need to be comfortable and happy with your doc.

Re: Is it bad to change Dr.'s
As long as the new Dr you want to go to will accept you at 22 weeks than go for it. You have to be comfortabe w/your Dr

I had to when I moved and had no problems. If you are not happy with your current, then find one that better fits your needs.

Re: Is it bad to change Dr.'s
If you are not comfortable with your office or doctor, I would change and the sooner the better of course!!!
I am almost 28 weeks and have JUST changed doctors now! My first appointment is this thursday with the new doctor. My old OB office was horrible and nobody returned my phone calls even when I was in the ER.. and even for questions about medication, phone calls were not returned and its unacceptable. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and confronted the doctor about it and I only ended up wasting more and more time. If this sounds like something similar you are going through, I would start looking and asking around for some good doctors. I am in Florida, so I don't have any recommendations for you in the LI area. Goodluck!!! Keep us posted!

Re: Is it bad to change Dr.'s
I thought about changing when I was 30 weeks, but ended up staying. Now I'm 40 weeks and really regret not changing. so my advice is if you really are considering changing -then change!

If you really have a problem with your current doctor and/or you are uncomfortable, then switch. Make sure to get all your records.
