Is it FINALLY time to CIO???
DD is 13.5 months old. She "has" to be held/bounced/rocked to sleep EVERY SINGLE night and as much as I love our cuddle time, I can't take it anymore. It can get dragged out for hours some nights and she doesn't get to bed until after 10pm. I am getting nothing done at home since the nighttime is the only time I can do anything.
She has been babied for long enough, lol. I KNOW it's because she's a girl she seems more fragile than the boys were.
I have to get her to go to bed at a certain time (some nights it may vary). But I NEED for her to be put down in her crib, say night, night and be able to leave the room. I just can't do this every night anymore.
Please, give me as many ideas as possible, I really need for me/her and daddy to be able to do this. PLEASE TELL ME HOW???

Re: Is it FINALLY time to CIO???
I would start by shortening what you do. So for me, I rocked her in our chair and it started becoming an hour long process, so i cut that short by 15 minutes for a week, then another, and so on. Now I maybe rock her for a few just to signal night night, and put her in her crib. I rub her back for a few mins until she is very sleepy and leave. She will sometimes fuss for a few mins, sometimes 15 mins, and sometime not at all.
It takes a while but it works.
Or you can do full CIO and just leave her or go in in intervals. For me the intervals worked very well when she was younger but she's wiser now .
