Is it lame to get a pre-school teacher a gift card for a holiday gift?
Totally forgot to buy something for Madison's 3 teachers, so now I have to scramble for something. Was thinking of getting them each a gift card to Pottery Barn. Lame?

I got DS's teacher a Target gift card, I figure that store sells so many different things, school supplies, food, clothes, etc.

I always give Target gift cards. That way they can use it on anything... even if it's just groceries or drugstore items.
I figure they must have more knick-knacks, bath products, candles, change purses, etc than they know what to do with, kwim?

A gift card is fine but unless it's a large amount I might pass on Pottery Barn. Maybe Target or just an Amex card.
I did Vera Bradley lunch bags and a Starbucks gift card.

As a counselor at a HS who gets a LOT of interesting gifts, I LOVE gift cards. I got my DD preschool teachers ones for Macy's. I asked them what they preferred.
