Teacher holiday gift cards
For those of you who are getting DC's teachers gift certificates..where are you getting them to?? I was thinking Target, but wasn't sure!
And how much do you normally give. Thanks!

Re: Teacher holiday gift cards
I was thinking maybe an Amex or Mastercard gift card so she can use it wherever she wants. Only thing is - i hate the fact that there is a fee to activate those cards. That kills me.

Re: Teacher holiday gift cards
I usually do Starbucks, or for the local teachers, a gift card to a nail salon. I usually do about $20 (which is like 1/2 of a coffee from Starbucks )
I wanted to do something different this year - like Massage Envy - but they require at least $50 and thats WAY too much for me, especially since I always go in for the class gift as well.

Re: Teacher holiday gift cards
I know the teachers at DC daycare love just Dunkin Donuts GC.
Not sure how much theirs are going to be this holiday, though.
I think between DS and DD daycare rooms there are like 9 teachers!

Re: Teacher holiday gift cards
I bank at TD Bank so I'm probably giving Visa giftcards (no activation fee if you bank there).
Not sure of the amount yet since I have to buy for 5 teachers, at least, but, the lowest denomination they offer is $25.

Re: Teacher holiday gift cards
Thanks guys!! I think I might just stick with Target and do like $25 per teacher. She only has 2 teachers in school and her swim teacher. I can't believe you have 9 teachers!! OMG

Yeah, me either!
DS is 3 and he has 3 teachers in his room.
DD is 11 months and I think there are 6 teachers in her room. 3 in the morning and 3 different ones when I pick her up.

Re: Teacher holiday gift cards
I'm a teacher and I'll tell you you cannot go wrong with target. Anyone can find something they need there. I always loved getting starbucks cards - they were like a treat for me because I don't usually splurge on coffee drinks these days.
