What do you think is odd, the round crib?

I think it's pretty cool, honestly! Chat Icon

yup, i find the round crib to be a little weird... i understand that it might look cool but i don't see the function in it i guess...why spend $300-400 on a crib you may never use again and it's not convertible so i just don't see the point Chat Icon but like i said, hey that's JMHO!

I agree, I think it looks like a bird cage and is dsuch a waste of money because it is not convertible.

I thought the Stokke round crib was so cute! I don't know about other round cribs but i know the stokke one is convertible. It's like a bassinet, crib, toddler bed, and i think even a chair. The decor of the picture you posted is a bit odd but the way they had it displayed when I saw it in real life looked ultra modern. At the end, I didn't think the crib was practical but it was adorable with the other Stokke furniture and nice bedding.

I liked it too, but don't want to deal with finding cute bedsheets I like (less of a selection).

It is cute though

It's cute but must be so limiting on what mattress, sheets, bedding sets, etc you can get.

It's at Baby Fortunoff and very striking if you have a large nursery. Althouhg, impractical IMO.

It's cute, but not my style. I also can't imagine trying to find the mattress, sheets, etc. to go with it, and without paying a fortune for them.

I think the round cribs look really cute, but I just find them impractical. I want a convertible crib that we can use when the baby gets a little bigger.

Re: Is it me or is this a little odd?

I don't think it's odd at all. Round cribs have been around for a long time.

Although we chose a convertable, we will most likely never convert it. It's a crib for now, with no plans for the future. Who know's what I'll want!

But I actually like the round cribs. Hey if you have the money to have a nursery big enough to put a beautiful round crib in the center of the room then you don't really care that it's just a crib and not a future bed.

Re: Is it me or is this a little odd?

There are a LOT of cribs that aren't convertible, so the fact that it's only a crib isn't really an issue.

I think it's nice that DC can't get stuck in a corner. Once they start to roll or move around, they can get stuck in a corner and not figure a way out. With no corners, they can't get stuck, and are probably happier.
