Is it normal to gain weight so soon?
I am only 6 weeks and i've already gained like 5 pounds! i think im eating too much! Did anyone else gain weight right away?

I felt like I did but I think I gained about 7 pounds in the first trimester. Watch your snacking - eat healthy snacks and drink water!

I gained 8 pounds in my 1st trimester and with 3 weeks to go I'm up a total of 33 and doctor says we're in great shape. I wouldn't be too concerned being that I've worked out from day 1 and still gained. Guess your body needs it like mine did... I stressed a lot about it in the beginning but now I'm over it.

I gained 5 lbs right away also!! I think it the very beginning you retain water. It's mostly from bloating!! Keep in mind that I work out regularly and eat very well, so I know it wasn't from eating the wrong thing!

I agree! I gained b/t 5 and 6lbs in my 1st tri.

I'm 7 weeks today and have fluctuated with weight gain since week 4. Most of it has to do with water retention and bloating....Make sure you drink a ton of water. As soon as I did I started to drop the excess water weight. Now I'm only up 1 lb but at one point I was up 6! And don't stress the weight gain...As long as you're not overeating there's no reason to worry about it. Your body probably needs it!
