Re: Is it normal to have a fever with Croup?
My son gets the croup often and has never had a fever with it. But he never really gets fevers for some reason.
but I did find this online
How do I know if my child has croup? I f you're not sure if your child has croup, your doctor can diagnose it. The most common symptoms of croup are fever, hoarseness of the voice and a barking, hacking cough. Croup may also cause a high-pitched noise (called stridor) when the child breathes in through the narrowed windpipe. Croup symptoms tend to affect children 1 to 3 years old more severely and may worsen at night.

DS had the croup at 5 months old and he had a high fever. The Ped gave him a steriod medication and it went away fast!
