Is it normal to have a fever and congestion with teething?
Or are they two separate things going on?? I think I see a white spot on her gum and she is miserable and running a 100.8 fever...

I just came on to post this exact question!!! His nose is all snotty. I'm waiting for the tooth to come in, but am wondering if it's a cold.

Funny that you ask that because I just brought Kara to the doctors last saturday. She had a runny nose. I asked if it could be from teething and she said she knows alot of us mom's believe in this (fevers and runny nose) but she doesn't think there is a link to it.

My pediatrician doesnt believe that there is a link either however everytime a tooth breaks through, he has cold like symptoms.

I personally think maybe a slight runny nose...although I think diarrhea more maybe...but I def do not think a fever.

Yes, all of the above (including the diarhea) When they are teething, the cutting of the gums can cause a slight fever (EVERY doctor will deny it but mom knows best! ). Also, all the drooling can cause some congestion and messy diapers. For DS, his cheeks also got a little red with each new tooth.
