Is it possible for a 9 week old to start teething?
My baby is a little over the 95th percentile for his weight and height for his age (9weeks) so I'm not sure if he's starting to teeth now.
He is constantly putting his hands in his mouth and presses down on them. It's not thumb sucking or anything it's as if he wants to eat his hands. This is not because he's hungry because he would do this 1/2 hour after he eats. He's just always doing it. He's not crying or anything just drooling a lot.
When did your dc start teething and when did you see his or her 1st tooth?

yup thats when the early teething usually starts. All mine did and didnt get any teeth till 5 months

Wow, that's really.
My DS started teething around 10 or 11 wks and had his first tooth at about 4-1/2 months.
So yes, it is possible.

yes - my little guy started teething this early - and I didn't think it was teething (as it sounded early) but someone told me to check - and low and behold! a tooth!

Well, DD used to do this at the same age and we are here nine months later and no teeth!

They start teething way before they actually cut teeth, so yes it is possible.

Oh yes. DS has been teething since he is 8 weeks but no tooth yet at 6 months.

i think my ds is teething too-at 3 months...he is always putting his hand in his mouth and biting on things!
