Me!! All about ME!

Is it possible to have a 2 day hangover? Long, sorry.

I went from being perfectly normal Saturday night to completely intoxicated at a wedding I went to.The service in the place I went to was top notch- Everytime my glass was half empty, they would fill it up for me, so I didn't realize the amount of red wine (Chianti) I was drinking. Needless to say I was "gone". It hit me like a ton of bricks. There was no "inbetween" phase where I was "happy" so to speak.

All of Sunday I had a massive hangover (no headache though) but my stomach was quesy and I was barfing the whole day. Chat Icon (I know TMI.. sorry!) Everything I put down came right back up. I started feeling better around 5pm- I *thought* I was feeling better, however, now this morning, I'm feeling sick again. How is this possible?

Whats horrible is that I got sick at a family wedding, so being someone that hardly ever drinks & very rarely gets to the point of intoxication, this had to happen in front of my parents, my aunts & cousins... OMG. They must think Im a DRUNK!!!

I'm still sick right now at work. This is bad. Chat Icon Chat Icon 2 day hangover. I used to drink shots of vodka back in the day like it was water & never got this sick.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I need to make it through today- I hope it goes fast.

I had a two day hangover after a friends bachelorette party 3 years ago...it was bad, really bad but just keep drinking water and eating small meals and you'll feel better.

Believe me, after that experience I have never drank that much again!

Feel better!Chat Icon

I hate the never empty glass! It can kill you!

I've had a two day hangover before, after a friends bachelorette party.

I do find that my recovery times have increased as I get older!

Definitely drink lots of liquids - you are probably dehydrated from the alcohol and the sickness. Try to stay away from plain water in the beginning - try gatorade or something else.

It is possible you could have a slight stomach bug on top of the hangover.

agreed. Also - try to stick to carbs and sleep early tonight. Your body is begging you for rest since it's getting rid of the toxins in your body.

OMG...I SWEAR I was coming on this morning to post the EXACT same thing.

I "over-indulged" on Saturday night and I'm still feeling AWFUL.

Re: Is it possible to have a 2 day hangover? Long, sorry.

water sweetie. drink it.

you CAN still be hungover, b/c the worst part of alcohol is the dehydration.

so you were dehydrated to begin with, then the barfing further dehydrated you.

lots of water/fluids and try to limit your salt intake (some salt is good, but you need to get your cells nice and water filled)

feel better.

and EVERYONE gets wasted in front of their parents at least once. don't worry about it.

Re: Is it possible to have a 2 day hangover? Long, sorry.

totally possible.

seriously - hydrate yourself. plenty of water - and fyi revive vitaminwater used to be marketed as a hangover relief drink. go buy one in duane reade.

also - eat something like toast and eggs - i know nothing probably sounds appetizing but you need to eat something.

asprin and sleep will help too.

wine hangover are THE WORST hangovers to get. my heart goes out to you.
