It's my last day (sorry to cry a little)
Well, it's my last official day as a store owner and I can't help but be sad. I thought that I would be SO EXCITED, seeing as how I made this decision based on the fact that I was due in June and in NO WAY could run a clothing store at the start of the summer season in the "Hamptons".
I hand the keys over to the landlord this afternoon. I've been there for 15 years!!  I worked there before I bought it and I have owned it for 8 1/2 years.
While I am SO excited to start my new "job" as a mom and I'm sure I'll forget all about the store when that happens, I can't help but feel super sad right now that it's really over!
15 years... a lot has happened in that time.

Well, I can totally see you doing other things after the baby is born. Maybe a different store or something to fulfill your entrepreneurship skills.
See it as a break. Embrasse it and who knows what new venture you will get into after you gave birth.

I don't blame you for getting teary.
You will be moving on to a more meaningful part of your life as a mommy.
I think it's exciting to start the next chapter
( i am going to be quitting my job as a flight attendant soon- been on leave since last year- so I can relate )

I live in the hamptons...where is your store? it seems like every day a store closes out here...but your is closing for a very good reason believe me once baby arrives on the scene you wont have a second to think about the store and you will love every second of your new job.
And you wont have to deal with the summer madness that the hamptons knows..

Where was your store? My parents have had a house in Montauk for 20+ years and my sister and I worked out there for many years...I wish we lived out there year round!

'oh....hugs and jumps of joy..its ok..its because it is all new.
U will enjoy hanging out in the summer instead of at work,,,

awww it will be ok. I am sure you will start something else up after the baby is old enough. I know how you feel i have to give up a lot too once the baby is here. I own a small event planning business and had to turn down a lot of clients this year. I was really upset about it. But i know that my baby will need me the most and I am happy to take on this new role. But trust me i know how you feel.

Very true! I just finished school to be a massage therapist and I can't really start my business full force due to my pregnancy. It's a bit frustrating! I worked in my 1str trimester but I know I cannot massage people for hours at a time.....so I took a break from it. I still have my regular full time office job. I am planning for my "come back" after the baby is born. I am just putting thinkgs in place now.

Thank you ALL for your kind words. It's tough.... but it HAD to be done.
I didn't want to finish vaccuming because I knew once that was done, so was I. I seriously must have vaccumed for an hour!!

Awwww! I can understand why you're upset, sweetie. Just think about how much fun you are going to have once your little one is here! Besides, there's nothing saying you can't start another business venture when he/she get's a little older.
