is it possible to know the sex at 13 weeks?
we went yesturday and they seemed pretty sure at what they saw.

It is possible, with higher accuracy for a boy than a girl but most offices will say not to go crazy until they can confirm at the 20 week.
Sooooooo... What did they see???

I don't want to say...it's the only secret we are trying to keep.
WHICH IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HARD!
but the tech seemed pretty certain of what was shown.

I would only think that early........they can be sure if its a Boy or not.
A girl is probably more hard to tell.........but a boy........some things cant be missed.

i would think that means boy.... at 18 weeks my sono tech thought i was having a girl but wouldnt say for sure until 20 weeks.

At our 13 week sono, the tech thought boy based on what she saw. But, at our level II, we could see - CLEARLY a ! So, I wouldn't go out and buy anything yet based on what they told you!

yes, definitely - especially with a good technician.
I know 3 people that found out it was a girl at 13 weeks and they were right
I also know one that was told it was a girl at 15 weeks, and a baby boy was born.

I was told at 13 weeks the doctor knew the sex but we are team green so we don't know if it was confirmed at the level II or not. Sorry I am not much help.

From what I've heard and saw on this board is that girls develop a lot quicker than boys, thus the sono tech is able to tell the sex of the baby at an earlier stage...boys usually take longer.
I know during my u/s at almost 13 weeks, the technician was unable to tell us, but at 19 weeks she told us that we were having a boy...and then she confirmed it again at our growth sono at 36 weeks.

they can sometimes tell, especially if it's a boy. but the genitals at that stage are still ambiguous, so i wouldn't place too much stock in today's prediction! at 20 weeks things get much clearer...
