Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
Today is CD 16...still only 1 line on the opks, not even a faint test line. I have had no ewcm this month or last month. I'm just wondering why I am still getting nothing on these opks. Do you think the mc could have screwed around with my ovulation?

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
I have no idea of the answer but I worry about the same thing now that I am testing....but its quite possible it's just you didn't detect the surge on the opk...right?

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
Yea I guess. I test the same time every day. So unless I am hitting my surge at night or early morning and its short, I haven't O'd yet according to the opks.
I am following Deannas Plan, but since I haven't gotten a positive opk I don't know when to start BD-ing every night. This is so flippin annoying.

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
It could be possible. Maybe try testing a couple of times a day?

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
I dunno. When I first started using OPKs I never got a positive and i started freaking out, worrying that I wasn't ovulating. But I think I was just missing it, cause later on I ended up finally getting the +. I don't see why you wouldn't be ovulating. I really think you're probably just missing your surge. I hope you get a positive soon!!! I know how stressful it is to wait and wait for it to come

I can see where that is annoying! I am scared that will happen to me!

Maybe I will try FMU tomorrow and then test again later in the day. Thanks.

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
How long is your cycle? I went from 28 days to 32 days after M/C.. I didn't ovulate till cd20 or so. And no EWCM since M/C either, but that didn't matter.. so hopefully it doesn't matter for you either!

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
It is definitely possible not to O. But I have read that if you don't detect O one month, try testing twice a day (am and pm) the next month. And I defintely think it's also possible that the mc just screwed with things, so it could be later this month. Good luck

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
My doctor said it is possible for someone women not to O for 3 months after the MC. I know another downer in the whole situation. Everything is so out of whack!

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
Thank you ladies. I usually have 28 day cycles, but I guess what is "usual" hasn't really been happening anymore
Now this is going to sound like the stupidest question in the world...but if I don't ovulate, there is no way I can get pregnant right?

Unfortunately...if we do not ovulate then there is no egg released. So we can't get pregnant.
I wouldn't worry though. This is my first cycle after the mc and I ovulated a few days later than normal...so still continue to test. Also, i really never did get accurate readings on OPK's...so also just try to go by EWCM too.
Did you see any increase in CM and EWCM yet? Maybe you just missed the surge on the opk? Most likely though you prob just are going to ovulate a but later in your cycle.
As well, it seems like this 1rst cycle could be longer than usual too.
Goodluck!

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
Also, I was just reading up on this too...right now for my cycle. ( i am obsessed with google). But I read it coiuld take up to 3 cycles to ovulate after a miscarriage. ( sorry i know that is not the news any of us want to hear)
This website had some good info
website
I found this on the website. This was comforting,.
"About 60% of women will get pregnant again within the next four months, especially with earnest work toward that goal with the help of the Sperm Meets Egg Plan. " That is the Deanna's Plan.
Hope that helps!!!

Thank you for this info! I have been following Deannas Plan. I havent had any surge or positive opk yet so we have been bd-ing every other day. I guess I will just go by whenever I get ewcm. Thanks again.

Re: Is it possible to NOT ovulate?
I wondered this myself. I dont think you would get a period if you dont O, right?
ETA: maybe you just havent surged yet; you still have time. Maybe next month, if you have to, try the digitals? I used the CBE OPK and tested with FMU, this time and last time when I got pg. It just made things so much easier and target has them for $28 which I thought was a good price.
