I know it's not the end of the world but it's annoying that they got my outdoor cushions all wet right before I have a guest coming over. And in the past they've had the water getting all over our cars in our driveway. DH likes to opens the car windows before we put DD in the car on hot days so obviously we can't do that if they're getting wet. Is it worth it to say something to the neighbors? I feel like common courtesy would tell them not to do that, but I guess not.

I have the same situation, in our town code, our water must stay on our property...im in Huntington. Yes, my cushions got wet just your yours. Annoying... My rear neighbor does this all the time. Spoke to him and was nice about it but he fell back to old habits and keeps getting my ish wet. 1 side has pool run off from waste that falls in my yard but then again, my pool waste ends up on there grass too.. I'm looking to fix that once i fix some landscaping.

Yeah I can see it being rude. Somehow one of our sprinkler heads got knocked over a bit and ended up watering our neighbors driveway and we had no idea. If they didn't come over and say something, we wouldn't have known since we're not home when the sprinklers run. I'm glad they did.

Eh, I don't see it as an issue worth mentioning. I have had bigger issues with my neighbors. Chat Icon

If I was your neighbor and you approached me with the car window thing with your DD....I would absolutely be okay with it and try to fix it. If you approached me with the cushion thing...probably would appease you, but think it was a little silly. Like some others said...they may not realize it. If you approach it kindly, they shouldn't have a problem moving it over.

They place the sprinkler themselves, it's not an installed sprinkler system. And they can see that the water is getting all over our driveway and side of the yard. That's why its bothering me. Its like they just don't care that they're doing it. They could easily move the sprinkler or turn the water pressure down when they see it's getting all over our stuff, but instead they just walk away. They also were barbecuing something at the same time and I could see the water kept hitting the bbq too getting their food wet...so karma I guess Chat Icon

This would absolutely annoy me and I would ask them nicely to move it. They sound completely clueless though since their sprinkler is hitting their own bbq. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

It's very annoying! My neighbor does this all the time! Her sprinkler was wetting everything and on our BBQ right before we were going to grill skirt steak. Thank goodness we caught it before we put the steak on, otherwise I would've lost it. I kindly told her and she apologized. I really don't think she realized how far over it was going. I would def approach them nicely about it otherwise it's just going to keep pissing u off.
