Is it safe to eat from my vegetable garden?
This is my first year planting the garden and i was reading alot of helpful hints - one of them being to mulch around the veggies to keep away weeds and to help keep moisture in the soil.
One of the recommendations was to use grass clippings - which i did on several occasions so now there is a good amount there (and its really working for the weeds).
Anyway - im just reading a gardening magazine that has the grass clippings recommendation - but it says not grass thats been treated with fertilizers. My DH uses the Scotts 4 step lawn care that includes fertilizers/weed killers etc. I never even thought about it but now im wondering if this could effect my garden Can the chemicals leak from the grass clippings and get into the plants? Would they be safe to eat?
I appreciate any helpful info - thanks!

well your garden won't be organic but its safe to eat. Your not spraying it directly on the veggies and even so you can just wash the stuff off and its no less safe then the stuff you buy on (non organic) grocery store
