Is it that hard for a girl to get a hair trim???
Call me crazy, as far as I remember, one used to be able to go into a beauty salon and get a hair trim. I'm calling all these places and no one does trims anymore - just full haircut price! not even supercuts! I need my dead-ends cut off from JHS - I should have just let them chop it there!

Thats why I let them cut it there... I didn't feel like spending an extra $50 on a trim

I agree...it seems trims do not exist. That said, Nubest Salon in Manhasset is offerring a new thing called "dusting", which is basically a trim for long hair, but is done on dry hair. Regardless, i t is no cheaper as prices are $55 and up. However it is nice to know that they won't give you a chop job.

its def a waste of money spending 50 dollars cutting 1-2 inches one lenght. When i get haircuts i either get layers angles cut it short or get more then 4 inches off. Haircuts are geting expensive for cutting 1- 2 inches..

I think the problem isn't the amount of hair as much as the type of cut. If you have all one length hair it certainly isn't worth $50+ to have them cut straight across. I can understand it a little more if you have layers or some non-standard cut.

I know it's not the fanciest place, but for just a trim what about Lemon Tree? Or even Ulta Salon.

thats why I have my mom trim my hair so embarassing to admit but I am NOT paying for a full haircut just to get rid of dead ends... it was good enough for me when I was eight I guess its good enough for me now

You shouldn't be embarassed to say that - if I had someone to do that - I'd use them!!
I probably will try Lemon Tree - since no one else will do it - although I went to them once simply to wash my hair and blow it straight - and they managed to mess that up

I had them trim my ends afterwards.
then I went to my regular place a month later for a dye and cut.

Re: Is it that hard for a girl to get a hair trim???
I don't think I've ever encountered a place that trims the ends for less. Cutting straight across and really doing it right is a skill. My haircut (end trim, really) definitely takes as long as anyone else's. I save some money by needing it done less often than someone with a short cut. Now I wish I could save on products! The only time I have gotten a trim for less than the price of a full haircut was for a bang trim only, back when I had bangs.
