Is it true that cereal fills them up more?
My DS is only 7 weeks old but I'm dying to start cereal. My doctor swears that cereal does not fill them up more or make them sleep longer, but my Mom and tons of friends swear it does. I am desperate, my son is always hungry and crying 2 hours after his bottle, and I feel like all I do all day is try to hold him off from eating!

I would think that formula would fill him up but then again I EBF on demand so what do I know.

I feel like it did... as soon as we started giving DS cereal he slept through the night ( literally the first day we tried the cereal)

I don't think it matters. DD wasn't on cereal until 6 months old, she was a good sleeper, Even now with cereal she still eats every 2 hours!

Some say it's a myth, some swear by it. IMO, it worked with DS @ 8 weeks. If anything, think of it this way... a glass of milk isn't so filling, but once you make it into a shake, it can be. I think adding cereal makes it a baby milkshake.

It didn't work with DS and it still doesn't.
never worked for us either...don't rush it. My son did not sleep thorugh till about 10 months cereal and all.
