definitely not d's (they are nice and can "make" a shirt, but they are not ultrabig IMHO)

I'm a large D, could probably stand to fit into DD... but I'm 5'2 so IMO (and in my own view of my body) they look 10x bigger than they really are. It's hard to find clothes... this gal can't wear button down shits... I went to try on a wedding dress a few months ago, I couldn't even get the dress over my boobs!!!! 
I do not own ONE button down shirt. Not the larges size will fit me. I still have that peek a boo thing going on.
Believe it or not, even though I did not want to wear strapless to my wedding, it really made my chest look good and did a great job concealing. You should try. And don't worry about dress samples not fitting. I am a size six and nothing zipped on me. You will be fine
I found a dress that did WONDERS for my ta-tas!!! But I'm still searching for a button down that will do the same thing  .

button downs suck.
there is always a gap and, the waist part fits so big...it looks like I have a gut..or a square shape...which I don't.
I may have a fat azz, but I have a fairly flat stomach and a shapely waist. definitely NOT covering that up.
it seems counterintuitive, but strapless dresses and vnecks make you look smaller..not sure why.
coopersmom, I hope you found or find the perfect dress.

i think it all depends on whats appropriate-time of day-where you are.
For example, i am naturally thin and my chest is rather large for my frame, so if Im going to the park with my kids, it would look obscene for me to wear a low cut shirt or even a tank!So I make an effort to cover up more.
But if Im going out on a Weekend night w/my DH, i let "the girls" out a little more-but never in an "unclassy" way!

I have "ultra-ultra" big boobs (36H).
Plus I'm tall and I guess slender (I'd like to drop a few more pounds, but people tell me I'm skinny ), so there's no disguising the girls. When they're out there, they are out there!
My DH wishes I would show them off, but I get embarassed. He claims "Who cares!?! You look hot!" But I hate wearing fitted (not tight) shirts b/c people just stare or make comments.  There's no happy medium with that size. Low cut shirts aren't really an option b/c it's tough to find bras to accomodate the cut of the shirt. I do wear strappy tops/camis from Bravissimo, but they tend to make my boobs look smaller.
