Is seaford a good neighborhood? Updated with street.
We found a house we like in seaford, but now are questioning if its a good neighborhood. Its south of Merrick Rd on the west side of 135. Is flooding an issue?
It is off of Riverside Ave - near Oleta Pl.
The other houses on the street look a little sketchy, which is why we are concerned.

Yes very nice area. I grew up down by the harbor school and my parents are still there. What street is it?

My parents live there on a canal and have never flooded (let me run and knock on some wood )

Re: Is seaford a good neighborhood? Updated with street.
If the other houses on the street look sketchy, then go with your gut. Yes, Seaford in general is a nice area but even nice areas can have sketchy sections or even sketchy houses. I live in a nice area and there is a totally sketchy house on my block (that's the same word I use to describe it) and honestly, if I realized how much so prior to buying, I probably would have reconsidered. I certainly wouldn't want to be seeing a few of them. Because in the end, no matter what you do with your own house, you can't make them do anything to improve their houses. In addition to looking at it, it could affect resale down the line. I would steer clear.
